Last updated: 27 September 2026. This policy explains how foundmmo.com handles personal information for visitors in the UK, EU and EEA. The site publisher is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information you choose to provide. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information. We use correspondence to answer your request and manage corrections or enquiries.
Technical information
Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages, browser information and security logs to deliver the site and investigate abuse. We do not use this information to create advertising profiles.
Search and saved stories
Search runs in your browser using a public content index. Saved story identifiers are stored in local storage on your device. They are not sent to us as a saved-story profile. You can remove them through the saved stories page or your browser’s storage settings.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This site loads the Google Analytics 4 tag when a public page opens to measure visits and page usage. The tag may set or read analytics cookies and sends usage information to Google. This analytics disclosure was updated 28 September 2026.
This version does not install advertising or analytics cookies. Essential technical functions may be used by the delivery network. Optional trackers must not be activated without the required information and valid consent where applicable. Email links open your chosen email application.
Purposes and legal bases
We process enquiry information to respond to you, based on our legitimate interest in operating the journal, or to take steps you request before an agreement. Necessary technical processing supports our legitimate interests in secure service delivery. Any future optional analytics or marketing processing will use an appropriate legal basis, including consent where required.
Service providers and disclosures
Hosting, delivery and email providers may process data under suitable arrangements. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
A provider may process data outside your country. Where UK or EEA personal data is transferred to a country without an applicable adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards are required, such as approved contractual clauses and any necessary supplementary measures. Contact us for information about relevant processing.
Retention
We keep correspondence only as long as needed for the enquiry and any necessary record of its resolution. Security logs follow the hosting provider’s retention controls. Legal obligations or active disputes may require longer retention. Local saved stories remain until you remove them.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.
Complaints
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your relevant EU/EEA supervisory authority. We would also welcome the opportunity to address a concern directly.
External links
Retailers and other external websites have their own policies. Following a link does not give us control over their processing. Affiliate links, if introduced, will be identified and may use tracking managed by the relevant network or retailer.
Children
The journal is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send passwords, payment information or confidential documents by ordinary email.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when practices change. Material changes will be explained where appropriate. Send privacy requests to [email protected] with enough detail for us to understand the request.
